I'm a lover of Lagavulin. Despite 16 holding the crown, the 8 delivers a uniqueness that holds its own. Clear yellow gold hue with lengthy scents of smoke, peat, jammy apricot, fragrant citrus, butter and a tinge of heat. The smooth taste of peat comes off balanced, woody, menthol. Taste of butter trailing menthol, minty, tarragon. Great finish that exudes quality. If you want a variation of 16 with vibrancy and an assortment of flavors, grab this bottle. Peat lovers this is for you.
