It's fine. There's not much to knock it on, but if I'm completely and totally honest there isn't all that much that really truly stands out either.
I would have someone try this as a means of showing them what a good quality middle of the road bourbon ought to be like.
If you like it, you like it. Nothing wrong with that.
Personally I'd rather have a Four Roses SiB over this for about the same price MSRP, and those are way way way easier to find. Or a Russell's Reserve SiB. Hell, the Russell's Reserve 10yr is far more complex than Blanton's.
It's not BAD. It's good. It's just not great value for me.
Fun to have on hand, and getting your first one in the wild is a thrill, sure.
But IMO if you don't NEED to have it, don't chase it. It's not God's own nectar, there's lots of wonderful bourbon out there.

Agree all around. I really like it, but I like it for $60. It's not a $100plus bottle by a long shot.
