The nose started off a little ethanol forward with whiffs of caramel, butterscotch and vanilla. As it sat in the glass, a grassy oak note appeared
The palate showed the low proof with very little of the ethanol from the nose. The mouthfeel was a little thin but pleasnt enough to make this an easy bourbon to enjoy neat for new comers. The butterscotch, vanilla and hints of sweet caramel were there but not enough saltyness to make these flavors really pop
The finish was short and literally sweet. You would expect a ten year bourbon to have more oak influence but I believe the low proof keeps leather and tannins at bay. A somewhat simple finish and overall experience given the overhyped nature of this bourbon
