Nose is fresh baked raisin butter tarts. Velvety smooth texture on the palate. Slightly sour initially but then the flavours start coming. Caramel, oak and something I can only describe as the aroma of a musty wine cellar. Long, warm finish, which is where the fruit really comes through. Starts with grapes, cherries and finishes with crisp apple. I've seen mixed reviews for this and can see how it's not for everyone. Personally I really dig it though. Tastes like something my old Italian uncle who makes his own wine and prosciutto would drink.
