Grand Macnish Six Cask Edition

Nose: A weak aroma of generic scotch whisky. Traces of cereal, honey and fruit but it is exceptionally light and weak.
Palate: Diluted notes of cereal, honey and vanilla. It quickly gains a hot, peppery quality but there is a foundation white-sugar sweetness.
Finish: Very Short. Virtually non-existent. 15 seconds after tasting this there is nothing at all left on the palate.
This is one of the weakest, most insipid blended scotches I’ve tasted. The only thing in its favour is that it does not have any outstanding faults. There is simply nothing happening here at all and it is unbelievably boring to taste neat.
It’s hard to believe that there is any malt whisky in this blend at all as it tastes very much like a bottom-grade 3 year old grain whisky. In Coke or dry ginger ale it adds a ghostly echo of scotch, and that’s about it.
I recently re-reviewed Johnnie Walker Black Label and gave it the rather damning rating of 1.5. This is worse. Don’t waste your money.

@pkingmartin I'm loving this curmudgeonness. The three worst that I've reviewed here: Hudson Baby Bourbon and Few Straight Bourbon. But I've still got one or two that may vie for that rusty crown!
@Richard-Davenport I’ll add my worst two whiskies Tamworth Bird of Courage and Pure Scot Signature Blended on to this growing list, if you’d like some additional reading on what spirits to avoid. I hope others add on as well and I’d be interested in your worst whiskies tasted as well.
@Richard-Davenport Ha 😁 See my reviews of Cromwell’s Royal And Grant’s Tripe Wood Smoky, among others. I’ve given my fair share of damning reviews 😈
@PBMichiganWolverine haha I'm going to do that right now! Apparently setting a new goal for @cascode ;)
@Richard-Davenport see mine under Abhainn Dearg. I beat @cascode by 3x lower
@cascode this may be the first "1" rating that I've seen here--and I do appreciate the honesty.
