I’m a sucker for a whiskey marked as “sale”. I’ve bought my fair share of dogs because of this. This whiskey is not one of those. These are neck pour notes.
NOSE: Phenols, and hints of BBQ meats and smoke, general sweetness, honey, tropical fruits, toffee, baking spices and malt.
PALATE: Round, semi sweet, viscous and rich, malt, tropical fruit sweetness, general spiciness, honey, caramel, and vanilla.
FINISH: Pretty long for 43 abv, spice and sweetness .
A pretty good blending of peat and rum IMO.

I was one of the early “adopters” of the first release, then heard/read underwhelming reviews/offline comments…and was planning on gifting the bottle. With this review, seems I should at least give it a taste. @PBMichiganWolverine isn’t that the case with every single bottle? One shudders to think what we’re paying in profit markups for even seemingly modest-priced bottles.
@Ctrexman 😂😂 no soap in my tasting
🧼........at least youll have a clean mouth
$25?! Wow. Imagine the profit margin on whiskey! You know it cost less than $25, and at one point, this was $60.
@DjangoJohnson $25 is a steal
Should have said bought 3 bottles back then.
I got this on clearance for $25 4 years ago and like it a lot. Still have one bottle left.
