On the nose I get punched in the left nostril with vanilla and a hook to the right with caramel. It smells one note after that sweet. The taste is the complete opposite, it floods in with earthly oak that changes to a mild spice. After the mild spice comes the corn in the finish. The hug, I mean finish, is welcoming and doesn't overstay it's welcome. Overall, great taste with some nice complexity. The flavor profile isn't as sweet as I like but it is a good whiskey.
