Color keeps getting browner 😔 miss the pinot noir garnet red color from when i first popped this open.
Nose: peat reek, earthy dank fruity notes, some woodiness. Some mildly sweet sherry. Getting some dark cherry here too the more it rests and the more I sip
Palate: peat is still prominent, fruitiness pops here still. Sherry influence brings a sweetness that's not sickly. Brambly. Some oceanic salinity. A hint of vanilla. Some creosote. Currant and cherry
Finish: starts with a mild vanilla, lingering medicinal phenols, earthy notes. Barrel tannin.
