creamy and rich, a rush of vanilla and toffee, brown sugar, oakiness, bits of leather, maduro tobbacco, dark fig, spice, a bit of funkiness when it comes to the peat too which works well with the full flavors. Like another said its less smokey peat and more earth peat which is nice. The sherry cask does mix well with the peat. a nice and rich peated highland. much different from the briney, smokey, and oily islays, closer to the springbank and campbeltown whiskies. excited to try other expressions from edradour!
