Third in the campbeltwon list for today.
Nose - a good amount of peat, but clearly different than an islay peat. There’s no charriness. You can smell the oils as well. Has a strong medicinal character, like a first aid box. I for some reason smell neosporin or some medicinal ointment.
Tongue - a very mild wet smoke. Not too sweet, medicinal for sure! Very oily in nature and flavor!! Funky mid palate! Little salty and bitter! Finish feels short medium. Leaves a funky aftertaste!
Interesting expression from Springbank distillery! Preferred this over hazelburn 13 oloroso June 2007
