Aroma- berries and oak jump out of the glass. Love it. Awesome vanilla profile as well. As it opens, caramel really pushes forward. Very sweet all the way around. There is no alcohol presence whatsoever. No rye presence either so not sure what the mashbill is and Im too lazy to look it up (vial provided by a close friend)
Taste - A sweet caramel and oak bomb. This is all oak at all levels of the palate (from start, mid-palate and finish). The oak really becomes slightly drying on the finish though. There is a presence of the typical vanilla note but its more at the front of the palate
Overall - the French oak dominates the palate. The viscosity is tremendous though. Really coats the entire palate.
