A pretty good nose on it, malty and a bit fruity. A lot like a bourbon cask Speyside scotch that way. But I also get bourbony new oak. The pallet is a bit thin. There’s nothing bad here but this is NOTHING like the smaller distillery’s ASM’s. It’s sweet and malty with a slightly sour note on the end. I think it could use more time in the oak. It’s a brand new spirit for Bulleit so it will probably get better in the future.
