With its still located in the city of Rio Espera in Minas Gerais, Cachaça Rio Mineiro has a history that is proof that the result of the sum of patience and persistence is success. Since the time he worked in rural areas in the Rio Espera region, Jesus Assis, founder and producer of Cachaça, said that one day he would make his own cachaça. The dream was planted in his heart, and only time would help it blossom. Years later his father, Geraldinho, acquired new lands and it was there that Jesus felt safe to fulfill the great dream that was in his heart. Then in 1982 in the municipality of Rio Espera/MG, Jesus Assis opened Cachaçaria Rio Mineiro, named in honor of the city. At first production was 500 liters annually, and Jesus counted on the help of his wife Maria Stela to run the still. It didn't take long for both of them to realize the great market potential of Artisanal Cachaças, and another dream was planted in their hearts: to increase production. Over the years the family and business grew, but only in 2010 did Jesus' sons, Valdinei, Vagner and Arnaldo decide to expand production, invest in the structure of the still and in the aging of Cachaça. In 2016, Rio Mineiro won its first award for the best Cachaça in the region and currently the line has more than 10 different products. Cachaça Rio Mineiro Cinco Madeiras 500ml is stored for one year in jequitibá barrels, for one year and six months in oak barrels, for two years in amburana vats, for one year and six months in balsam barrels and, finally, for two years in sassafras cinnamon barrels. With 39% alcohol content, the drink has a straw golden color, a sweet, fruity aroma, spices, nuts with a refreshing aftertaste, in addition to being an explosion of flavors!
