CN. Nose is still somewhat bland but I do pick up some hints of black cherry. Either the nose is toast or I'm getting a cross between Dr. Pepper and Cherry Coke on the nose and first swigs. Taste and finish for me are both heavy on the black cherry, almost like the cherries from ice cream. The first couple tastes the finish was very malty, but about halfway through that transitioned to the pleasing black cherry. The finish on this doesn't last very long either but is pleasing as you work down the glass. Can definitely pick up some of the rye spice on the back end which is very pleasing. This bites a bit harder than I think it should for 100 proof. Cheers!
