Nose
- vanilla
- Cinnamon
- Feint oak
- Just a hint of citrus, orange or mandarin
Palate
- ripping vanilla, almost like a fresh vanilla bean
- As it sits and opens up, the oak becomes a little more present with just a hint of peppercorn and tobacco
- Similar to the nose I get just a hint of citrus on the palate.
- No spice
Finish
- Mild finish, especially considering cask strength
- More peppercorn than cinnamon
This is a good pour but nothing bold or distinct about it. I wish I had a bottle of regular makers to compare it against
