There is mild caramel, mild pepper, herbal notes, spearmint, dashes of anise, dark breadiness, a pronounced fruitiness similar to orange, maybe some prune. The finish has eucalyptus/menthol note, more intense baking spice and white pepper. I enjoyed this rye alot, it has alot of character and quality. the price is a bit steep as id be alot more prone to purchasing around 70 bucks but i wont complain as my fav thing about this whiskey is that the grain is milled by windmills (i just think thats neat as hell). Would reccomend grabbing if you are in the market for a sipping rye
