Better than Glenfiddith 15 cider flavor, crisp crown apple. This one when leaving out for a bit, it’s subtle. Better than any cider I had, since this one isnt sour no sugar or bubbly or sweet. This is the brandy that taste like rum, the rum that feel’s like a good cognac yet better than the cognac I had (hennessey XO) It almost feel like a vsop champage bubbly but a lot more complex.
Dry aged duck, dry aged steak, it has an aroma from meat/protein being stuck and sealed and aged for a while. It smells like a damp room where the barrels are placed, and apples decay naturally in those, if I drop an apple under my bed today in a few months it might smells exactly like this one. It’s decayed and aged.
I love this one.
Calvados got great brandy.

It also feels a bit like scotch when you think of the layers of complexity
