Seeking to nationalize the effect of peat in conventional peated whiskeys, Lamas subjected the malt to an innovative smoking process, where reforestation wood transfers the characteristics of smoky aroma and flavor to the grains in a striking way. Nimbus (from the Latin, “cloud”) is a different, smoky whiskey.
