In 1999, in Esmeraldas, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, Euler Chaves decided to use part of his property to invest in a high quality cachaça. On a visit to the Federal University of Lavras (Ufla), he discovered a new concept in manufacturing the most hygienic drink and with total respect for the environment. The entrepreneur brought selected yeasts from there, a great novelty at the time. Cachaça Prazer de Minas is produced by combining Minas Gerais tradition with technology. The sugar cane is selected, cut, washed and crushed in mills, generating pure juice, which is fermented naturally in stainless steel vats and in an air-conditioned room. Distillation is done in copper stills, heated by a boiler. Only the best part of the distillate is aged. It is these factors that make Prazer de Minas one of the most awarded cachaças in Brazil. All production stages are recorded to maintain a quality standard, which is measured and audited by Inmetro. Cachaça Prazer de Minas Prata Jequitibá is aged just 2 years in Jequitibá, the most neutral Brazilian wood. Floral and herbal aromas, sugarcane sweetness, balanced, agreeable, medium finish.
