An intense, handcrafted, Single Grain Irish Whiskey by Glendalough Distillery in Ireland made with corn & malted barley; aged for 3 1/2 years in Ex-Bourbon, then 6 months in Oloroso Sherry casks, then finally it is finished in Madeira casks for a total of 4 years. It has an aromatic birth with notes of rancio, sultana, granola, toffee & pear; while a rich life adds notes of raisin, bran, oatmeal & fresh cut oak; that led to a wine like death of medium length.
