*** NO WAY HOME ***
Nose - Got loads of cinnamon and baking spice off the nose. Theres a massive sweetness that accompanies the spice, like a vanilla bean. Theres definitely some toasted leather in there. As it opens some grape and pear start creeping through. Finishes with a scent of black licorice, very complex and fun nose.
Palate - Okay that is very very herbal. How is this not a rye? no idea. Definitely more of that black licorice, some cherry and more leather. Not much oak, as this drinks thin. Some cinnamon lingers but lightly, not as overpowering as it is on the nose. Thats just about it. Very good but very interesting for it being a bourbon.
Finish - So the finish is kind of a lighter version of the palate with the leather and cinnamon turned up a little. Pleasant, not harsh and drinks exactly at its proof.
