On the nose there is an intense amount of peat and smoke. Iodine at first than some bartlett pear and gentle lemon. On the palate there is a lot of the peat and wafts of smoke. Brine and malt follow. Not for everyone, and definitely not for anyone who likes sweet whiskeys. This would be a fantastic mixer for Penicillin's, Rusty Nails, or any other cocktail in need of a smokey, briny scotch. I will have to experiment.
