An elegant, Rum by Juan Alberto Alvarez in the Dominican Republic crafted with local sugar cane juice that is fermented for 30 hours & aged at 70 proof for 10 to 15 years in ex-bourbon barrels using the Solera method before being bottled at 40% ABV.
It has an aromatic birth with notes of sugar, citrus, dried fruit, nut, wood & spice; while a rich life adds notes of orange, raisin, dried cherry, vanilla & coconut; that leads to a balanced & semi-sweet death of medium length with notes of pepper, almond, toasted oak & smoke. April 2023
