A complex, Blended Dark Rum by Master Distiller Allen Smith for Mount Gay Distilleries Ltd in Barbados distilled in both a pot & column still; then aged between 5 & 17 years in a combination of cask types: ex-Bourbon, ex-Whiskey & ex-Cognac; before being bottles at 43% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of flamed orange zest, mulling spice & humidor; while a delicate & creamy life adds notes of mango, raw cane, plantain, cloves & warm oak; that leads to a warm & spicy death of medium length with notes of pepper & toffee.
