A vast sweetness and vanilla with an oaky leather sent. Typical of a well aged speyside. Pallet: neat, a very delicate velvet mouth feel with flavors of red fruit jelly and sweetness. A fair amount of peppery spice with cloves and cinnamon sugar. Reminiscent of a fruit filled sugar doughnut. Finish: the finish is short with a slight memory of the oak and a long delightful aftertaste of juicy fruits and sweetness. Overall a fantastic delightful and delicate whisky Glennfiddich has always been a quality scotch whisky and this 19 year old bourbon barrel expression is no exception. Very well worth having on your shelf.
