The nose is rich in vanilla, butterscotch, green apple, and citrus (mainly white grapefruit and tangerine). The palate is rich in vanilla, honey, brown sugar, an oak spices. Bartlett pear, unripe mango, and black pepper also appear upon further sipping. The finish is fairly long and complex. This is a complex whiskey for $42 and at 101 proof can be drunk neat or as a mixer. This makes a fantastic Old Fashioned and Bourbon Margarita.
