Murici is the “golden fruit” is the murici, internationally known as Nance. It flourishes in the tropical region of South America, from Brazil to Mexico, and has an acidic and salty flavor - according to Embrapa (government entity that studies Brazilian plants) - the taste is comparable to that of sweet cheese. This brandy produced in the district of Acuruí in the municipality of Itabirito, state of Minas Gerais, is called "Composta" because it is aged in wooden barrels and receives a load of Murici fruit during its aging. The result of the combination of sugar cane spirit with Murici fruit is a pleasant, fruity distillate, with attractive sweetness and woody notes. Unfortunately, there is not much information about the drink on the internet, but it is registered.
