The nose is an immediate burst of charred oak, smoke, earthy rye spice, dried flowers and a hint of vanilla. It is quite deep, not as sweet as you might expect from Buffalo Trace. As it breathes, it quickly opens up into those more sweeter notes, yet it gives you some intrigue as to how it might taste.
The palate It's maybe too gentle, it comes across with oak, dried flowers and hint of rye. It does fall a little flat on the pallet but it does take the boxes of what you might expect from this.
Finish is medium at best with all the flavors coming together to fade away a bit too quickly.
