Bourbon Snob Tries Gin: Part 1 Part 2, 1/2/25: Copperworks New Oak Cask Finished Gin (Release No. 030) >>>~~~~~~~~~~<<< I have not had too many gins. It’s been years since I’ve tried one. I don’t really know the language or the flavor profiles that make sense when describing gin. So let’s gooooo. This is a bourbon snob trying to understand gin. Much thanks to @ContemplativeFox for the pour! >>>~~~~~~~~~~<<< Nose is lemon, sawdust, pine sap. Dish soap maybe? Or maybe dish soap just also smells of those things. Fabric softener! Body is tangerine, lemon. It is syrupy sweet…almost too much so. Finish is where the pine comes back. Bit of marmalade lingers as well. This one isn’t my jam. It tastes like something you shouldn’t be drinking. I could not finish this. I don’t remember the last time this happened… but it’s been a very very long time.
