Nolet's Silver Gin
Modern Gin
Nolet's // Netherlands
The Nolet family operates the oldest running distillery in Holland, having produced spirits since 1691. While more known today for producing the Ketel One brand, the distillery recently began producing their own gin style, created by Carolus Nolet Sr and his sons, Carl Jr. and Bob. Nolet's Silver Gin begins with a mash made from European wheat.
While the exact botanical recipe is a company secret, it does contain juniper, peach, turkish rose and raspberry. These botanicals are individually macerated and distilled with the base spirit. The final gin is bottled at 47.6% ABV.

Modern GinAlso has been referred to as "Contemporary", "New Western", "New Wave", and "New American". This style is not legally defined. In general, this category of gin, while it does contain juniper, places less of an emphasis on this botanical. Other botanicals not classically used in London Dry gins are often utilized and often highlight botanicals grown in the region the gin is produced. Most produced as either London Dry or Distilled Gins.

Tasting Notes
"The juniper pine notes provide the backnote, but Nolet's Silver Gin is full of freshly sliced peach, ripe raspberry, and roses. Those notes are each found individually but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Perhaps not everyone's cup of tea, but definitely worth a try at least. Cocktail suggestions: Think bubbles (French 75, Champagne Cocktail, Gin Fizz) or punch preparations..not really suited for classic martinis."
