A rich, Single Malt Whisky by the Dalmore Distillery in the Highlands of Scotland matured initially for 14 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then transferred to 30-year-old Matusalem oloroso sherry wood for a further 4 years. The sea-facing traditional dunnage warehouses is located at sea level & enveloped by the salt air.
It has a rich & aromatic birth with notes of orange, wine, malt, almonds, toffee, baked bread, mild smoke & wood; while a rich & fruity life adds notes of old sherry, spice, iodine, oak, chocolate, coffee & orange zest; that leads to a long & rich death with notes of caramel, pear, cinnamon, fruit cake, coffee, cocoa & dark chocolate.
