Rich honeyed smoke on the nose. Citrus zest underlying. Clover. Cereal and marzipan leading to fruit. Very complex for a blend, with neutral spirit hiding well (maybe spoiling enjoyment of Chivas Regal). Some dust in sunlight emerging. Mouthfeel is succulent and mildly coating, but flavor is one-dimensional with the fragrances melding into an indistinguishable oneness that says loudly (but boringly and pleasantly): “Scotch!” Water opens some meatiness on the nose, but tropical esters still dominate. Ultimately lovely to smell, but bland on the tongue.
