2019 Release
A rich, Bourbon Whiskey by Dave Phinney for The Savage & Cooke distillery in Mare Island, California made from a Mash Bill of 75% Corn, 21% Rye, & 4% Malted Barley, aged for a minimum of 4 years in new charred American oak barrels & then finished in his Napa Cabernet barrels before being bottled at 44% ABV.
It has a rich birth with notes of brown sugar, caramel, butterscotch & toasty oak; while a full life adds notes of vanilla bean, baking spices, maple & baked apples; that led to a long & balanced death. July 2019 / August 2022
