Tamdhu Batch Strength Batch 007

Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland

Reviewed April 27, 2025 (edited April 24, 2026)
4.0
4.0 out of 5 stars
Neat was ok, it’s rich, semisweet, spicy, loads of wood and everything was too intense. After a dribble of water, it’s still woody and intense, but more enjoyable, as dark chocolate, orange peel, raisin, cinnamon and other baking spice, leather, nuts, and vanilla notes shine through. @cascode since you mentioned wood, I just tasted again and the wood spice jumps out of the glass.

I think this has been getting spicier with every batch. The 1st and 2nd were great but it’s been a bit too woody for my liking recently.

@Anthology was at that price on K&L website in November 2024. I got one ordered and they were gone in a flash.

Great price for the batch strength. Usually see them on shelves for avg of $90+
