Nose: lovely banana sweetness with hints of vanilla, touches of darker molasses sweetness as well. A bit of the oak in the background but rather subtle. No real alcohol burn despite the cask strength abv. Palate: Great mix of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg. The proof is pretty noticeable so I added a touch of water which really helped cut the burn without weakening any flavors. Great, substantial mouth feel. Really great mix of sweet and spice and great to sip once I cut the alcohol just a bit. Finish: Sweet and salty nuttiness (moreso sweet) mixed with oak woodiness. Very satisfying and makes you want to take another sip.
