Nose: strong classic ardbeg smoke, caramel, charred oak, brown sugar. Light vanilla.
Palate: pungent and peaty, definitely burns a bit initially. Strong ashy/smokey element. Burnt caramel. A couple drops of water mellow the heat a bit and bring out a slight chili note along with smoked bacon and moderate charred oak smoke notes.
Finish: drying, ashy, smoked ham.
