The nose comes in strong with ethyl notes but gives way to sweet, syrup, vanilla--supporting the palette. There's an up front heat, paired with a sweet, light (candied) syrup, that sits on the tip of the tongue and top of the throat. There's a slow warming of the chest as the palette opens to more notes of vanilla, subtle caramel and maple, and an almost chalky woodiness. Plenty of punch, but versatile enough to sip, mix, or shoot (if you're into that sorta thing). Pick your poison.
