It starts soft, opening with briny peat, before the high proof really makes itself known, delivering a lively tingle across the palate. As it settles, waves of peat return, balanced and not overwhelming, before gradually giving way. Finish: Medium in length, fading with a pleasant warmth and a lingering wisp of smoke. Overall: A light-looking dram that packs serious character. Mezcal-like on the nose, vibrant and briny on the tongue, and a finish that leaves you smiling.
