Very silky with a lingering hint of smoke. It pops on the tongue and tastes amazingly zippy and fresh. A very enjoyable and interesting scotch that's worth a try, especially in the AM.

It's tough to say. I really enjoyed the lively aspect of the younger stuff, but next to the 18 year old it's not in the same league. There's a new level of refinement with the older one. They would make an excellent pairing for when you want to switch back and forth between something old and something new, while staying with the same brand. Hope that helps. Cheers.
How does Ledaig 10 compare to your recently reviewed 20-year-old expression? Is the older malt worth the extra cash? Would love to hear your opinion. Cheers!
