Tobermory 10 Year
Tobermory // Islands, Scotland
Though first established in 1798, it has been closed off an on for over half the time. It has served as a canteen during the war, a cheese warehouse, and a power station among other purposes. Now they appear to be back for the long haul with Tobermory their unpeated whisky and Ledaig their lightly peated whisky.
Single MaltDistilled in pot stills from 100% malted barley, produced at one distillery, aged in barrels; if Scotch or Irish, must be aged for at least three years.
Cask Typefirst-fill bourbon
"There are bright aromas of breakfast cereal topped with fresh berries, lemon curd, and a small amount of salt. The whisky tingles the gums and has a bit of dry wood tannins to chew on. The finish continues with lemon peel, cinnamon, wood spices and a touch of anise. "
