The aroma starts strong, of very sweet, soft apricots with candied fruit, brown sugar and very light pleasant spices. Yes - this is a sweet whisky, a masterclass nose for Glenmorangie.
The taste is of milk chocolate, sweet spices, almond and other bitter nuts, blood orange and light honey.
The aftertaste is noticeably leathery and of citrus peel.
For me, this is a top Glenmorangie whisky, with an excellent price/quality ratio. 87/100 WBR.
