i have had mezcal many times, but not at cask strength which this was about 52% abv. It is pechuga meaning that that steep a raw turkey over the alcohol vapors during distillation. i believe is was aged for 12 months so muted some of the stronger smokey flavors you can get from most mezcals. This was amazingly smooth and delicious and didn't feel like the proof point. Just a great sipping mezcal to enjoy with tajin and an orange slice.
