The nose is incredibly sweet and pungent; figs, sugar covered raisin, with hints of nutella, sherry and oak. On the palate its fruity and spicy; you can taste the marsala cask; think baked apples with cinnamon and a warm finish. Ive seen people say the proof isn’t high enough and that it’s good, but not worth the price. This is a high end whiskey that drinks incredible; you don’t need every whiskey to be cask strength. If this was cask, you’d lose so much from the finishing barrels. Excellent whiskey. Would buy again and again.
