The nose starts mostly with charred oak backed up by a bit of earthy rye spice and a touch of brine. Leather comes out alongside vanilla and a bit of brown sugar. It all comes together quite nicely, leaning heavily into the earthy notes. The palate is a bit dry with a heaping of spice that coats the entire mouth with heat as fainter notes of oak come in behind. Touches of brown swirls amongst the heat with a faint hint of smoke. It is wonderfully full as it gives you something simple yet robust. The finish is medium long with lingering oak and spice that slowly fades while a faint hint of smoke remains.
