The nose starts out vibrant, full of earthy rye spice, vanilla, brown sugar and a bit of dark chocolate. It definitely reminds you of Christmas spice. It mellows out into baking spices as it sits, remaining delightful to experience. The palate is slightly dry and chewy, but fills the mouth full of rye and baking spice. A bit of brown sugar and oak are there in the background, but your mouth remains wrapped up in that wonderful spice. It rye, pure and simple. The finish is long and spicey, with that delicious rye lingering and slowly fading. It is quite a unique rye, really not like anything you see that often anymore today.
