The Casa Bucco distillery is located in Bento Gonçalves, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, specifically in the Tuiuty district, within the Vale do Rio das Antas tourist region. Founded by the Bucco family, who came from Udne, Italy, where they produced Grappa. In Brazil, these Italian immigrants created the still and produced cachaças, liqueurs, grappas, and fine wines. Today, Moacir A. Menegotto and his family bought the distillery and the Casa Bucco brand, although they do not have the Bucco surname. The copper still is of the "Charante" type, separating the three phases of distillation, where the head and tail are eliminated, using only the heart, stored in stainless steel tanks for white "Prata" cachaça, or aged in oak and Brazilian wood barrels. To obtain a lighter cachaça, with the aim of enhancing the fruit flavor in cocktails and caipirinhas, double distillation is used in some cachaças, such as this specific one called "Bi Bucco," initially produced at the request of a client and now part of the distillery's portfolio.
Bi Bucco Double Distilled Cachaça with a smooth woody note. APPEARANCE: Straw yellow from a one-year period in oak barrels.
NOUSE: Subtle hints of vanilla and balanced aromas.
TASTE: Soft, harmonious, and surprisingly pleasant.
