My second exoerience with Garrison Brothers. My first was with Guadalupe which I loved and now Balmorhea. This is a Barrel Proof Straight Bourbon with big character, dense viscocity at 57.6%. On the nose: Caramel, wax or honey comb, white pepper, oak and molasses. On the palate: Brown sugar, wax, honey comb, pepper and charred oak. Finish: very long and pronounced with pepper, cinnamon and wax. There’s part of me who thinks the wax is brought because of the wax on top of the bottle. It might interfere with the flavors inside the bottle because I smelled the same with Guadalupe when I cracked it open. Hopefully it will go away later on.
