Thoughts:
This is my first ever bottle of Maker’s Mark Cask Strength. I got one of the new age-stated bottles, the 7 year 5 month. Once I drank it, I fell in love and immediately went out and both the other two, the 7 year 2 month and 7 year 7 month. This bottle is like a liquid dessert. It’s so rich and warming without being to high in viscocity. It has all the rich flavors I look for in a bourbon without being too proofy (even at Cask Strength). This is instantly one of my favorite bottles, and a must-have in my opinion. Go out and buy these because they are an absolute steal!

thx. will do. i know it’s not age-stated, but the new 250th anniversary “made for the brave”black wax bottles are only $39 at my local grocery spot. i’m not a fan of regular makers, & rarely buy wheaters. but you sold me, as i’d already heard good things about the CS. hopefully it’s as good or better than the 7 yr 5 mo., which is only two bucks more. but surely they wouldn’t put inferior juice in these bottles. looking forward to trying my first (good) maker’s mark. as much as i didn’t like drinking regular makers neat, i’d completely written them off & hadn’t even given cellar aged a chance. last thing i need is more bottles to watch for. my cabinets are overflowing, & being a fan of russell’s reserve, michters, old forester & barrell craft is not doing any favors on my wallet.
