Whiskey Tour of the World 2025 #19
Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes.
Color: Very pale amber.
Nose: Smoke, apple, pear, plum.
Palate: Smoke and brine with a bit of rruit and oak.
Finish: Medium length with medium heat. The briny note lingers.
Splash: No new flavors are revealed.
Overall: 7/10 - This isn’t an Islay but it drinks like one. The nose doesn’t have as much smoke and salt as the palate or finish, so they come as a surprise. The briny note lasts and lasts, even after the finish has fallen away.
