Tamdhu 18 Year

On the nose dried fruit - more date than raisin. Dried mango. Dried orange peel. Toffee. Varnished wood. The palate starts with toffee, then the dried fruits, nutty Christmas cake, followed by some baking spices and old leather, cherry pipe tobacco. It's a pretty spicy finish, but the fruit and the toffee and the leather linger on.

@soonershrink Tamdhu 15 is a good whisky - it reminds me a little of Macallan from long ago. I've not had the 12 but the Tamdhu 10 I had 8 years ago was pretty average.
I've only had this and the batch strength, both very enjoyable whiskies. Have heard the 12 and 15 are also good.
@soonershrink I've never had this brand, though I've seen it. Based on your review, will have to try it.
